Rose has been painting for 20 years and her style has evolved to become more abstract however the sea has remained her muse. She paints colourful semi abstract seascapes and landscapes and has recently been incorporating textured sections using palette knife techniques. She is inspired by the sea which she regularly swims in even when it is only 8 degrees! But not when the waves are too big, these are best left for painting inspiration…
The Environment
Rose is passionate about the environment and keen for her art business to reflect her values. Currently 1% of revenue goes to carbon removal through the Stripe Climate programme and postal tube packaging is made from 100% recycled materials. She uses water based oil paints which are less toxic than traditional oil paints. Rose can often be found picking up rubbish on the beach after a chilly sea swim and is looking into how her art sales can support marine conservation charities - watch this space, update coming soon….
